Green Concrete Seminar PPT with pdf report
Green Concrete Seminar and PPT with pdf report: Green Concrete is that type of concrete that is used to create the construction materials having a lesser effect on the environment. This version of concrete is made up of a mix of industrial waste and inorganic polymer. The most commonly used way to produce green concrete is by using industrial waste products such as fly ash, blast furnace slag, and cement mixture.

This means concrete that uses less energy in its production & produces less carbon dioxide than normal concrete is green concrete. It has many advantages such as reduction in shrinkage & creep, green Concrete uses local and recycled materials in concrete and the heat of hydration of green concrete is significantly lower than traditional concrete. The green concrete is used in the dam, bridges, buildings, columns, hut and much more.

Top benefits of using the Green Concrete:
You can avail following advantages by using Green Concrete:
- Longer life
The strength is gained by the green concrete at a much faster rate and it has a very low shrinkage rate than other types of concretes. If a structure is built by using this type of concrete, then it has a better chance of surviving the fire. In addition to this, it has a greater resistance to corrosion.
- Use of industrial waste
Around 25% to 100% fly ash is used to produce the green concrete instead of a 100% mixture of Portland cement. Fly ash is collected from the chimneys, which uses coal as the power source. In industries, there is an abundance of fly ash available. In general, there are lots of lands used for disposing of the fly ash and the land can be saved by using fly ash for creating the green concrete.

- Reduced amount of Carbon Dioxide Emissions
The major ingredients of ordinary cement are clay, sand, and pulverized limestone and they are heated to a very high temperature. On average, this process produces carbon dioxide emissions between 5 and 8% across the world, whereas the production of green concrete releases nearly 80% lesser carbon dioxide emissions. Choosing green concrete for construction processes will help a lot to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
- Reduced Energy Consumption
You will use less energy if you are using green concrete having less Portland cement and more fly ash. A building constructed by using this type of concrete offers better resistance to changes in temperature. Generally, the architect designs a building using green concrete to use energy for heating and cooling in an efficient manner.

Limitations of Green Concrete
In addition to the above benefits, the green concrete also has some limitations.
- Increase in reinforcement cost
The cost of reinforcement will be increased by using the stainless steel.
- Lesser split tension
It has lesser split tension when it is compared to the conventional types of concrete.

Why Green Concrete?
- Huge impact on sustainability
- Most widely used material on Earth
- 30% of all materials flows on the planet
- 70% of all materials flow in the built environment.
- > 2.1 billion tons per annum.
- >15 billion tons poured each year.
- Over 2 tons per person per annum

Features of Green Concrete
- Cement
The majority of the CO2 in the green concrete comes from the cement manufacturing process. Generally, there is around 10% of cement in a typical cubic meter of concrete. Most of the carbon dioxide comes out of cement out of all ingredients.
- Aggregate
In a typical cubic meter of concrete, the use of virgin aggregates to nearly 1% of all the CO2 emissions. That’s why it is desirable to use the alternate aggregate because it minimizes the fuel cost and transportation.
- Resources
The construction industry requires considering the increasing shortage of natural aggregate and sand. The pressure from conservationists and environmentalists around is forcing the engineers to look for other alternatives to the natural resources. There is a need to encourage the use of the recycled materials such as aggregate to tackle this problem.

any new innovations in construction?
Plz tell me what is the compressive strength of green concrete
The compressive strength of the Green Concrete must be as per Standard. For example if you follow IS mix design, it should satisfy that standard.
Ex:M20 ,Compressive strength = 20 N/mm2
Can I get ppt and seminar report on “USAGE OF DOMESTIC TREATED EFFLUENT IN CONCRETE MIXING AND CURING “.It would be a great help ,please.
Do you have photos for any buiding which done by Green concrete ?? and what is its location ??
